Scope and content | Material includes both sheet music and lyrics in the form of original publications, photocopies, transcriptions and cuttings from newspapers and journals. Almost all the material is political and includes anthems, propaganda songs, satire, songs recording and reporting events or movements, election and campaign songs, and parodies. The majority of the songs originate from left-wing movements and organisations but there are a small number of Liberal and Conservative songs in the collection. |
